Chafing dish fuel paste is made from natural ethanol alcohol and mixed with water and a thickening agent to make it solid or gel-like.
HENDI Chafing Dish Burning Paste is artificially produced to taste so bitter that it is impossible to swallow.
To heat chafing dish fuel paste safely and efficiently, we recommend placing the fuel pastes in the containers provided.
The heating capacity is the same throughout the range, while the heating rate depends on the size of the flame, which is determined by the opening of the firing paste container lid.
All HENDI chafing dishes are soot-free and odourless.
Cartridges and tins used without a fuel paste container will become very hot during use, resulting in a significant risk of burns. Risk of burns!
Always read the product instructions before use.
Ensure that there are no naked flames or hot objects in the vicinity when handling chafing pastes.
Highly flammable vapour can escape from the container.
Make sure that no water (e.g. due to condensation) drips into the firing paste. This can lead to dangerous splashes of fuel paste and pose an acute risk of burns.
Only light the fuel paste after you have placed the can in the containers.
The flames are almost completely blue, which makes them very difficult to see in the light - special care must therefore be taken.
Only extinguish the fuel paste by closing the lid of the container.
Refilling: Always ensure that the can and holder have cooled down completely.
Remove the can from the fuel paste holder to refill the can.
Storage: In closed containers and in a dark and well-ventilated place below 20°C.
To store larger quantities of fuel paste, please consult your local authorities and regulations.
If the above instructions are followed, the risk of accidents is minimised.
In case of fire: Use a fire blanket (or a large, wet blanket) to deprive the fire of oxygen to extinguish it.
In the event of a fire on clothing/body: Use a fire blanket or a powder/CO2 fire extinguisher.
Never try to extinguish the fire with a small towel, as this will only spread the fuel paste and thus the flames! After extinguishing the fire, keep the body cool for 15 minutes or until medical help arrives.
Leave the clothing in place.
Always seek medical help immediately.
