Space requirement
When hanging up a rod hammock, it is important to remember to hang it taut. The more tautly the rod hammock hangs, the more comfortable it is to lie on. For a rod hammock you need a little more distance than for a bar-less hammock. The hanging height (y) should be about a quarter of the hanging distance (x). For a four-metre-long rod hammock you need a hanging height of about one metre. If the hammock is smaller, less distance and height is needed.
Hammock between two trees
Depending on the size of your hammock, the trees must be at least three metres apart and strong enough to withstand the load. To fasten the hammock between two trees, a rope is looped around the trunk of each tree and connected to the hammock.
Hammock between two walls
Load-bearing, solid walls are suitable for fixing the hammock. The MultiSpot, which distributes the weight over four drill holes, is particularly simple and safe.
Lying position
In a rod hammock, you lie most comfortably lengthways in the hammock.
The spreader bars keep the lying surface open so that you can relax all around.
Hand wash
You can wash your rod hammock by hand.
Protect from abrasion
When hanging up your hammock, make sure that it floats freely and does not rub the ground.
Wintering dry
We recommend that you clean the hammock before the winter break. After it has dried completely, it can be packed and stowed away in plastic to protect it from vermin.
